iPhone Rocket Ship Continues - Apple Announces 100,000 App Milestone
The iPhone rocket ship continues to advance unabated. Today Apple announced (link to press release below) that they passed a new milestone with more than 100,000 applications now available in the iTunes App Store for use on the iPhone and iTouch.
The growth is amazing. It has already generated 50x growth in mobile data traffic on AT&T's network during the past 3 years. With the data that Mary Meeker recently presented showing the upcoming wave of mobile computing, the iPhone will continue to be the player to beat.
