Bing grows to 10 percent of search market and keeps innovating - data attached

Based on a report this week from Nielsen (link below), Microsoft's new Bing search service is the fastest-growing U.S. search engine among the top 10. The total amount of searches on Bing grew by 22.1 percent over July to over 1 Billion searches, winning Microsoft a 10.7 percent share of the search engine market.

While Google is still the dominant leader in search with almost 2/3 of all searches that are tracked, I have been impressed by the level of innovation that Bing is driving. See my live recording of Bing's launch of Visual Search earlier this week as an example.
